This print of “Natty Bumpo” is from VCJ’s private collection, a first edition printing done in the early 1990’s.

This print is number 45 of 100 and is signed by V. Courtlandt Johnson.

The original medium is a wood cut printed on 19” x 24” Japanese hosho paper.

Hosho is a traditional, high-quality kozo paper, strong and absorbent. It does not shrink or tear easily, making it a good paper for woodblock or lino printing. Sheets measure approximately 19" × 24" (approximately 48 cm × 61 cm), and are not sized, with deckle edges. Weight is 85 gsm.  Acid-free.
